Gitwe Sub Location is located in Malewa Location, Kipipiri division, Kipipiri sub county, in Nyandarua County, and is neighboring Kirima, Machinery, Miharati, Kabati, Lereshwa, Kimathi, Malewa, Githioro, Mawingu, Mumui, Kiriko, Munoru sub locations. It has a total popupation of 1,169, of which 560 (48%) are male and 609 (52%) are female. The sub location has 322 households which averages 3.6 persons per household. Its land area is 8.20 square km and a population density of 143 persons per square kilometer.
